Job Description

This position will interact with Sales, Customer Service, Quoting and Engineering departments from all Tecomet sites globally pertaining to quote packages (models, missing prints, specifications, etc.).  The coordinator will work directly in all Strategic Customer Quoting online systems, manage quotes within Tecomet’s Global CRM, and maintain spreadsheets for reporting purposes and tracking large quote packages.  They will also assist Customer Care teams in quote set-up and finalization in Tecomet’s computer programs.  This is accomplished by maintaining Tecomet’s principles of Safety, Quality, Customer Satisfaction and Innovations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage quote packages.  Receive and review prints/models for Request For Quotes (RFQ) via internal databases (Salesforce) and Customer online quoting systems.
  • Communicates critical information to Sales, Customer Focus Team, Engineers/Quoting departments & Quality regarding questions about quotes and all related documentation.  Will need to be able to professionally communicate with Customer via the Customer’s online quoting systems.
  • Maintain proper files for product quotes within Tecomet’s quotation program, CRM and ERP systems.
  • Read and understand blueprints to determine if prints are missing, understand material call-outs and specifications that are noted on the prints.
  • Correlate all cost/price information within the timeframe of quote due date required by customer.
  • May be required to undertake other duties that may reasonably be considered appropriate to your role/level.

KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS:

  • Able to troubleshoot data issues and correct errors in complex formulations within Excel reporting.
  • Able to identify the root cause and problem-solving complex issues.
  • Able to think outside of the box to create solutions to department needs utilizing all available software.
  • Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
  • Must be able to manage time effectively, meet personal goals, and work effectively with other members of the team.
  • Must be proactive, organized and detail-oriented,
  • Highly motivated to identify and address issues and follow through with completing total quote.
  • Proficient computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel (advanced).
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Have a working knowledge and understanding of Lean principles and tools.
  • Able to work with little supervision.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

  • Associate’s degree or six months to one year related experience.
  • Or, equivalent combination of education and experience.
