This position works 12 hour shifts on Saturday-Sunday-Monday 3:00am - 3:00pm
Summary: Set up and operates a variety of CNC type machining centers and secondary equipment to manufacture polyethylene and polypropylene sterilization trays. Perform all related production tasks. Assist in achieving priorities of safety, quality, schedule, and cost.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Education and/or Experience
Two year certificate from college or technical school; or minimum 5 years of appropriate machine shop experience. Experienced in set up and operation of CNC vertical and horizontal milling centers.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and color vision.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
