Job Description

This position will ensure proper calibration of precision measurement tools and equipment used by quality assurance and manufacturing. Comply with customer and internal specified gaging /equipment requirements maintained in the   calibration system.  This position will work to achieve Tecomet’s priorities of safety, quality, schedule and cost.


  • Maintain the calibration of gages and measurement equipment.
  • Communicate and coordinate customers required gaging for retrieval and requests.
  • Review and file all incoming customer or outside source calibration certifications, specifications as required.
  • Insures correct gage is used for parts produced and insures compliance to customer requirements.
  • Responsible for interacting with all personnel in regard to calibration and the calibration responsibilities.


  • Ability to organize effectively, and complete all documentation accurately.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and assist co-worker and work well under pressure.
  • Intermediate computer skills including electronic mail and routine database activity and gage tracking software.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos.
  • Ability to use required measuring devices and testing equipment.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
  • General mechanical abilities to perform essential repairs and or adjustments to equipment and gaging as needed.


  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED) and three to six months of related experience.


This position has moderate physical activity performing somewhat strenuous daily activities of a primarily administrative nature.

This position has the following work environment conditions:

  • Works in a well-lighted, heated/or air-conditioned office/production setting with adequate ventilation
  • Able to maneuver throughout the facility/facilities as needed.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with fingers.
  • Able to lift up to twenty-five pounds.
  • Able to wear proper PPE.
