The Manufacturing Engineering Technician assists manufacturing engineers in the development and implementation of optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards. This individual will recommend and implement improvements to production processes, methods, and controls. He/ She will also Operate CAD/CAM software to generate part drawings, design tooling and generate CNC programs. Must be self-motivated and work with minimal supervision.


  • Develop or maintain programs using computer-assisted manufacturing (CAM) tools

    associated with automated CNC production equipment.

  • Prepare layouts, drawings or sketches of machined components, assemblies, tooling, scaled floor layouts or new equipment design using computer-aided design (CAD) software.

  • Create Shop Floor Routers for manufacturing processes or operations using ERP system.

  • Monitor or measure manufacturing processes to identify ways to reduce non-value added activities, decrease time requirements, or improve quality.

  • Prepare and maintain detailed layouts of processes and related equipment.

  • Design, develop, test and/or source and cost-justify various tools, machinery and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods.Interface with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of tooling and equipment according to specifications and quality standards.

  • Manage multiple projects from start-up to completion.

  • Maintain integrity and promote enhancements of programming system. This includes implementing system improvements and coordinating Engineering change revisions.

  • Check and interpret data from machining operations, consolidate data, prepare reports, forms and schedules as required.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


  • Ability to use 3D Modeling, preferably SolidWorks

  • Good working knowledge of manufacturing methods, including CNC Swiss, Turning, and Milling

  • Experience/general knowledge of lean manufacturing basics

  • Proficient in MS Office products

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to prioritize and work independently

  • Familiar with GMP practices

  • Good working knowledge of GD& T


  • Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred or related experience and/or training.

  • Proficient in CAD/CAM machine programming, machining tooling and design, Solid Works, Espirit, computers i.e. Microsoft Office.

  • Problem analysis and resolution, have knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and machining practices.

  • Good communication skills.
