AEROSPACE DEBURR TECH

SUMMARY
Perform final surface prep and deburr on finished machined aerospace parts utilizing, but not limited to, blasters, belt grinders, variable speed hand grinders, buffers, stereo microscopes, ultrasonic cleaner.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Technical Skills
Knowledge of inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, CMM, height gages, and comparators.
Knowledge of blueprint reading and geometric tolerances.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; stoop: bend: climb or balance; and talk or hear. The employee will frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee will need to be able to sit at a deburr station for long periods of time while performing job task using a stereo microscope.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
