Position Information

Job Summary: Write and maintain coordinate measuring machine (CMM) programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Writes and maintains CMM programs based on customer or company specifications.
  • Responsible for training on CMM equipment and software to other employees as needed.
  • Troubleshoots and contacts outside technical support services for CMM software as needed.
  • Document inspection results and maintain programs to meet regulatory compliance standards.
  • Maintain 5S/housekeeping standards within work area; 
  • Performs other duties or special projects as required or as assigned by supervisor;

Qualification Requirements

Educational/Training Requirement:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); CMM programming certification is preferred.

Experience:

  • Two years minimum related experience and/ or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of personal computer, keyboard, and various software programs.
  • Knowledge of blueprint reading, and geometric and dimensional tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Working knowledge of inspection techniques.
  • Basic knowledge of Calypso CMM software preferred.
  • Use and knowledge of mechanical measuring instruments (bench layout skills) preferred.
  • General knowledge of applicable customer specifications and standards.
  • Positive attitude, reliable, and a team player
  • Ability to identify problems and escalate as required
  • Good communication skills, written and verbal
  • Solid computer skills

Physical Requirements:
