Job Description

  • Responsible for a wide variety of key account sales duties involving analyzing information for quotes, following customer schedules for manufacture and shipment, monitoring order status/changes with customer, and expediting/servicing order problems, under the direction of the Sales Manager, within the limits of established policies.

  • Perform house account sales work involving close liaison with customer regarding handling and providing quotes on order for products, and ensuring customer dates and manufacturing requirements are communicated to the manufacturing plant.

  • Analyze information and gather data needed to prepare quotes.

  • Discuss operations, processes, prints, quality control and other requirements with functional department personnel.

  • Forward completed quotes to customer.

  • Communicate with customer on any changes, cost problems, etc.

  • With assistance of the Tecomet “ the Company “Sales Coordinator, ensure purchase orders and customer releases represent agreed upon contractual obligations.

  • Review costs and notify customer of any changes.

  • Interface with Tecomet “ the Company “Sales Coordinator.

  • Oversee the issuance of orders to Machining Departments and monitor status of orders.

  • Update delivery schedules and monitor schedules or orders in various steps of production.

  • Check on production of items and clear problems, delays where possible and expedite orders as necessary.

  • Check prints for latest revisions for Q.C.

  • Perform general sales functions including but not limited to: forecasting, monitoring bookings and obtaining orders of all Tecomet “ the Company “businesses.

  • Provide information to inside sales regarding quote competitiveness and potential necessary modifications needed to close order.

  • Maintain a file on the status and history of all part numbers and quotes.

  • Make weekly reviews of customer programs, order by telephone and visits to customer.

  • Develop and maintain positive relations with key decision making personnel at customer.

  • Plan regular communications with customer’s design engineering and purchasing departments to continue developing new opportunities for Tecomet “ the Company “.

  • Consult with supervisor concerning pricing of parts and products by lot quantities on large orders and gather and provide pricing data as requested.

Interface with all company departments when performing, expediting, monitoring, and related house account servicing
