Job Description

Under the direction of the General Manager and Tecomet’s Corporate Finance, performs advanced and specialized accounting assignments, usually involving complex and confidential data.  Under limited supervision, analyzes financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital.  Develops a detailed balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports that summarize current and/or projected company financial position(s).  Develops financial strategies to help the company achieve its vision.

Essential Job Functions

  • Manages the entire range of financial activities of the organization including treasury, budget and accounting functions.
  • Executes a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism which includes minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs and tax liabilities.
  • Obtains and analyzes financial information to prepare reports, statements and recommendations when requested.  Develops, deploys, and executes comprehensive financial plans including budgeting, cash management, and growth management.
  • Provides technical financial advice and knowledge to others within the financial / accounting function.
  • Accountable for maintaining reporting systems to support enterprise.
  • Manage and prepare month-end close process.
  • Manages AP/AR Coordinator to include invoicing, collections, invoice verification, and vendor payments.
  • Responsible for the overall payroll function of the organization.
  • Maintains appropriate records to support all payroll transactions.
  • Closes job orders and mines costing data to find opportunities for greater profitability.
  • Selects and manages biweekly checks disbursement to independent contractors, clients, employees (i.e. expense reports).
  • Personally handles important, confidential accounting matters.
  • Customer service related items as needed.
  • Must be flexible with work schedule.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 5-10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office products; emphasis on Excel required.
  • Ability to demonstrate and apply principles of accounting to record financial information and prepare financial reports.
  • Experience with ERP systems.
  • Experience with payroll processing required.
  • Typically uses standard spreadsheet and database software or an accounting applications package designed for general accounting.
  • Must demonstrate high level of professionalism within organization as well as with customers and vendors.
  • Must maintain high level of confidentiality.
  • Excellent communications skills, verbal and written.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effectively gives and receives feedback.
