Responsible for kitting orders for Milling, Turning, and Swiss machining centers, providing all tooling, gaging, fixturing, vise jaws and material required to set up jobs, and staging kits before the start of a given job.


  • Ensure shop paperwork is complete and accurate before starting kitting the job.
  • Issue tooling from Robo Crib and set up necessary tools following machining set up sheets ensuring all tools are sharp and are in good condition.
  • Issue gaging From Robo Crib using in process and FAI paperwork
  • Issue correct material to orders and printing material certs for job packet using material Kanban system.
  • Unload and break down tooling and put away as orders finish on machining centers.
  • Collect all gaging and put back into Robo Crib watching for excessive wear, along with any damage to gages. If wear or damage is found report to team lead immediately.
  • Discard worn out tooling
  • Complete assigned duties to maintain company records.
  • Performs other related duties as directed or required.


  • General math skills.

  • Read and interpret prints.
  • General use of inspection equipment.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Must be able to complete task in a timely fashion.
  • Must be detailed oriented with large emphasis on accuracy.
  • Multi-tasked.


  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of CNC tooling preferred
  • One year minimum general machine shop experience preferred

This position requires walking, sitting, communicating with others at least 1/3 of scheduled hours.

It also involves reaching and using hands and fingers to operate measuring instruments and machinery.  Occasionally requires lifting of up to 50 pounds (under 1/3 of the time).  Must have adequate dexterity with hands and able to work in small areas.


Must be able to read small print (6-12 font) with or without vision aides. The operator is occasionally required to view items at 20 inches or less, with or without vision aides.

  • Less than 90 decibels (TWA).

  • Exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals under 1/3 of the time.
  • Exposed to potential hazard from possible projectiles.
