Job Description

SUMMARY

Creates graphic images on plastic and metal surfaces using programmed and/or MDI requirements from prints, verbal and written instructions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Recall files, set up and operate equipment to control laser burning depth.
  • Loads and unloads production and prototype work to a defined position.
  • Moves controls to orchestrate patterns, movements and depth of burn.
  • Examines, cleans, and maintains system cooling according to preventive maintenance schedule.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Position requires attention to detail, good reasoning skills and some computer skills. 
  • Must read and write English language; ability to communicate with employees, peers and supervisor
  • Basic shop math skills
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or GED plus two years’ experience in production environment.

EQUIPMENT USED Laser equipment, measuring devices, special deflection u/rays glasses.
