Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for a wide variety of duties associated with overseeing, coordinating, and controlling product design, and having responsibility for activities relating to the successful production of goods and services in conjunction with the Production Managers, under the direction of the Vice President, within the limits of established policies.
  • Must clearly understand the goals of the organization and develop a clear vision of exactly how their operations will help achieve them.
  • Attend daily Gemba walks, 5S audits and Kaizen workshops and provide leadership to effectively coordinate Lean Daily Management activities.
  • Develop and implement lean initiatives that provide measurable productivity improvements
  • Assure that the customers expectations are being met or exceeded
  • Work with Production Managers and supervisors to schedule workflow  to assure internal and external on-time delivery goals are being met
  • Evaluate work quality and interact with quality assurance and quality control to resolve issues
  • Communicate with customer in coordination with customer care, outside sales, engineering or quality to resolve customer questions, concerns or issues.
  • Review jobs with engineering and production personnel and help to establish robust, repeatable and efficient work processes
  • Implement process controls to assure compliance with ISO specifications, GMP standards and established control plans.
  • Take immediate action to correct any unsafe practices observed and promote safe work practices.
  • Report unusual difficulties to the Vice President.
  • Interview applicants for employment.
  • Make recommendations for equipment or personnel to increase capacity or productivity
  • Assure business unit is operating in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.
  • Follow established company/department rules and regulations and maintain quality standard.
  • Perform other related duties as directed or as responsibilities dictate.


  • BA/BS degree in related field Minimum 5 years working in a contract manufacturing environment or related field  
  •  Familiar with lean manufacturing techniques and activities
  •  Clear understanding of ERP/ MRP systems
  •  Knowledge of ISO 13485 and FDA GMP requirements
