Job Summary

Under the direction of the Director, Operations, maintains the Quality system as directed.  Majority of tasks performed under minimum supervision.  Has acquired and applies all necessary advanced skills and knowledge for one or more products, processes or areas.  May be a recognized expert in the areas to which assigned.  Assignments are received in the form of results expected but incumbents have considerable freedom to decide on work priorities and procedures to be followed.

Essential Job Functions

  • Responsible for understanding the Tecomet Quality Management System (QMS).  Effectively maintains quality system.
  • Knows and follows all safety requirements.
  • Responsible for the start-up, operation, adjustment to proper parameters, preventative maintenance, trouble shooting and cleaning of the equipment. 
  • Operates polishing equipment.  Polish and finish products to remove excess surface defects.
  • Exercises excellent judgment and initiative in resolving complex problems. 
  • Has a thorough understanding of the process flow.
  • Works on assignments that are moderately complex in nature where judgment is required in resolving problems and making recommendations.
  • Exercises flawless documentation practices.
  • Keep critical machinery and assemblies operating as assigned by Supervisor.
  • Perform routine tasks to meet defined output rates.
  • Performs measurement tasks at an intermediate skill level.
  • Basic mathematical skills required.
  • Ability to speak and understand the English language.
  • Must be flexible with work schedule.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required; Associates degree/certificate in Tooling & Machining or Machinist apprenticeship preferred.
  • 4+ years related machining experience, education and/or training.
  • Working knowledge of EN ISO 13485 preferred.
  • Superior attention to detail.

a.Excellent visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or products, or operate machinery, including personal computer

4.Physical Strength

a.Position requires sitting and standing most of the time

Exerts up to 30 pounds of force occasionally

Final candidate must successfully complete a drug screen and background check.
