POSITION SUMMARY:

Coordinate and perform a variety of duties in the preparation and execution of the manufacturing process.  Assist in the establishment and implementation of production schedules for the manufacturing floor.  Perform project management duties as needed to satisfy customer expectations.  Work as liaison between production floor and support areas.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate production schedules as given by Planning to maximize safety, quality, schedule and cost goals.
  • Investigate delays, and take or recommend appropriate actions to ensure schedules are met.
  • Maintain interface with team leaders, Manufacturing Engineers, and Planning department throughout production process.
  • Set priorities when there are scheduling constraints or conflicts.
  • Review daily the manufacturing schedule and communicate possible delays or disruptions to the Planning department, Production or Operations Manager.
  • Perform kitting duties as needed.

KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS:

  • Ability to provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
  • Ability to comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures and report all unsafe activities to the production manager.
  • Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets procedures and instructions.
  • Ability to define problems and collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to wear proper PPE.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Light physical activity performing non-strenuous daily activities of a primarily administrative nature.
  • Ability to maneuver throughout the facility/facilities as needed.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with fingers.
  • Ability to wear proper PPE
