Tecomet Riviera Beach, FL, is a contract manufacturer of high precision machined parts, medical device components and electro-mechanical assemblies. We specialize in machining precision parts from titanium, aluminum, stainless steel and plastics that demand close tolerance and superior cosmetic finishing.  Due to growth and expansion, we are currently seeking Quality Inspectors for our 1st shift . 

Position Summary:

Perform mechanical inspection of all finished parts to ensure they meet the customer product specifications established. Report any non-conforming parts to supervisor.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Accurately inspect parts and required documentation to meet specifications while complying with the following company policies, processes, environmental and safety regulations.

  • Perform first piece dimensional and visual inspections on machined parts.
  • Perform in-process and final QC inspections of parts and assemblies by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement test.
  • Document and communicate any deviations to quality manager and others.
  • Record data on all new procedures performed for new parts.
  • Maintain records according to documented procedures
  • Comply with plant safety regulations
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily by having:

  • Basic ability to read blueprints 
  • Ability to use microscope and visual examination is a plus.
  • General ability to use different measurement equipment (VMM, Comparator, Micrometers, gages, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance
  • Strong ability to multi-task, prioritize and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Be knowledgeable and stay current on Quality Procedures and Work Instructions that apply to tasks being performed.
  • General blueprint reading knowledge.
  • Understand Mechanical gauging and inspection, and drawing interpretation.
  • Calibration experience
  • CMM experience
  • Computer skills. Microsoft office is a plus.
    Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs.
  • Must have good manual dexterity and vision
