JOB SUMMARY:

This position will assist in creating and implementing quality assurance systems for the organization.Works up-front as a liaison between customers and manufacturing floor, to translate customer requirements into inspection protocols for manufacturing applications.This position will take a leadership role working closely with the manufacturing operation, on a daily basis, coaching peers through quality related issues.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Support production floor and final inspection in various technical capacities.
  • Determine inspection methods, control plans, process PFMEAs and inspection summary reports.
  • In charge of calibration management and related processes
  • Be proactive and timely in making sure all calibration needs are met in order to stay compliant for Tecomet and customers
  • Use WinSPC or equivalent to record and monitor results
  • Assists in internal audits
  • Reviews NCRs and follows up on any errors or corrections
  • Verifies documents for regulatory compliance

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interprets technical procedures or governmental regulations. 
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, and/or customers.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Demonstrated use of intermediate computer operations and intermediate software packages.
  • Participate in 6S.
  • Learn and practice daily any/all Lean practices introduced in area.
  • Participate as a team member when asked for a kaizen event.
  • Additional functions and requirements may be assigned by team lead or manager as deemed appropriate.
  • Ability to use proper PPE.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • 3-5 years related experience and/or training in Quality or Manufacturing; or equivalent combination of education, experience and certifications.
  • Preferred:
  • ASQ certifications
  • Related college credits
  • FDA QSR and ISO 13485 knowledge required

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

  • Light physical activity performing non-strenuous daily activities of a primarily administrative nature.
  • Ability to maneuver throughout the facility/facilities as needed.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with fingers.
  • Ability to wear proper PPE.
