Job Description


Maintain quality standards and processes, and assure the production of quality products.  This is accomplished by using precision measuring instruments and complex test equipment.   Assists in achieving Tecomet’s priorities of safety, quality, schedule and cost.


  • Perform receiving, in-process and final inspection.Develop inspection criteria.
  • Perform product layout inspections without assistance.
  • Instruct plant personnel in proper inspection techniques and procedures.
  • Audit paperwork.Compile and maintain master device history records.
  • Repair and maintain gauges, measuring and test devices.
  • Perform CMM programming.Troubleshoot and edit programs.
  • Adjust and prioritize work to meet deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
  • Work with customers and quality engineers on a daily basis to resolve quality issues.

Harmonized core technical skills:

  • Lean principles, Blueprints, Computer skills, Geometric Dimension & Tolerance
  • Basic math,Read fine print, Distinguish colors, Measuring devices

Harmonized core education and experience:

  • High School Diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED)
  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year technical school or college preferred

Working Conditions/Physical Abilities:

  • Well lighted, heated/or air-conditioned indoor office/production setting with adequate ventilation.
  • Light physical activity performing non-strenuous daily activities of a primarily administrative nature.
  • Ability to maneuver throughout the facility/facilities as needed.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with fingers.
  • Ability to wear proper PPE
  • Must be able to lift 25 lb.
