Tecomet, Riviera Beach is a successful company because of its highly skilled and dedicated employees. We are a contract manufacturer of medical implants and surgical instruments for the most prestigious of Medical OEMs in the market place. Quality is number one within our organization. Our Quality department is seeking a Quality Control Inspector for our 2nd shift. This individual will be responsible for inspections on all finished parts to ensure they meet the customers established specifications, and make sure they meet Tecomet's standard operating procedures.  We offer a great benefits package with no waiting period to enroll.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Accurately inspect parts, documents and environment as required while following company policies and processes, environmental and safety requirements.

  • Perform first piece dimensional and visual inspections on machined parts.
  • Perform in-process and final QC inspections of parts and assemblies by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement test.
  • Document and communicate any deviations to quality manager and others.
  • Record data on all new procedures performed for new parts.
  • Maintain records according to policy
  • Comply with plant safety regulations
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily by having:

  • Basic English: listening, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Basic ability to read blueprints 
  • Ability to use microscope and visual examination is a plus.
  • General ability to use different measurement equipment (VMM, Comparator, Micrometers, gages, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance
  • Strong ability to multi-task, prioritize and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Be knowledgeable of Quality Procedures and Work Instructions that apply to tasks being performed.
  • General blueprint reading knowledge.
  • Mechanical gauging and inspection, and drawing interpretation.
  • Calibration experience.
  • CMM experience.
  • Computer skills. Microsoft office is a plus.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs.
  • Must have good manual dexterity and vision
