This position will include becoming JTA certified in performing work in the areas of Secondary Operations, specifically finishing, polishing, cleaning/passivation, molding, assembly, clean pack and shipping. These are accomplished by on-the -job training, following work instructions and SOP’S to perform the tasks in the departments assigned.  


  • Assembles instruments and their sub-assemblies using adhesives by following blueprints and other written and verbal specifications.
  • Learns and operates the hydraulic press in assembly.
  • Pulls orders for  Kanban in the bit cell and handles cell per work instructions and SOP’s.
  • Polishes instruments according to prints (non-dimensional).
  • Performs glass beading and required equipment maintenance.
  • Learns and operates  ultra-sonic clean equipment and follows shop packets for process.
  • Performs secondary passivation to print.
  • Performs EP process according to  set up sheets.
  • Performs in-process quality checks on all work performed.
  • Operates the molding machines, mold handles and deflashes to print.
  • Cleans and packages product per work instruction, Tecomet SOP’s  customer specs and shop orders.
  • Custom packages instruments meeting customer BOM’S and other specifications to print.
  • Ships packaged boxes per customer orders with correct information and shipping preferences.
  • Adheres to general safety rules, manufacturing procedures and work instructions, company policies and procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and FDA regulations.


  • Ability to read and write English and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, FDA regulations, and procedure manuals. 
  • Ability to read and understand blue prints/process prints and other Tecomet documentation.
  • Ability to utilize gauging and use of proper fixturing to ensure product functionality and compliance.
  • Effective problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written,oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Manual dexterity to work with very small parts.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact professionally and constructively with the lead, supervisor, and co-workers.
  • Excellent organizational skills.


  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 years related experience and/or training preferred

This position requires walking, sitting, communicating with others at least 1/3 of scheduled hours.

It also involves reaching and using hands and fingers to operate measuring instruments and machinery.  Occasionally requires lifting of up to 50 pounds (under 1/3 of the time).  Must have adequate dexterity with hands and able to work in small areas.


Must be able to read small print (6-12 font) with or without vision aides. The operator is occasionally required to view items at 20 inches or less, with or without vision aides.
